…Today… She came to my house.
“This …. Girl sef. Nawa for her oo” she started after consuming a gigantic bowl of eba and sumptuous egusi soup I brought from my mom’s shop which I already had plans for. “Wetin she do again this time?”
I asked absent mindedly with my eyes glued to my laptop screen. I was so in a hurry to finish the church montage I was working on.
“I don talk, I don tire but she no dey hear. Imagine, she go just wake up for morning, leave room anyhow and commot. Sometimes if water no dey, she no dey bother to baff talk less of brushing her teeth. I dey wonder how her boy friend dey take cope sef. The guy dey try wey he dey kiss that kind mouth. I no fit oo. If to say she be like me wey be say even if I stay for days without bathing and brushing u no fit know, e for better”

She watched a few episodes of Empire, Power went out, she carried her bag and left. I heaved a sigh of relief Thank God she’s gone. if only she knew the reason I offered her my eba was just so the smell of the soup would suppress the malodorous breath oozing out her mouth when she spoke.
